The Hippolyta Gown

£150.00

Era & Style: A rare 1930s rayon satin slip in luminous peach, elevated with delicate lace and pastel floral embroidery at the bodice. Brand is "Countess Rayon Perfect Fit." Material/Fabric: Rayon satin with inset lace panels and embroidery. Design Highlights: Sheer lace bodice striped with floral embroidery, short flutter sleeves, and bias-cut skirt for fluid drape. Condition: Good vintage condition overall; a few slight marks of discoloration near shoulder, two pin holes in the lace at front of bodice, small wear mark on the skirt where fabric is not torn but has some wear to fabric, consistent with age. Fit Info: Bias cut with natural stretch; fits like a modern XL. Up to 45" bust, up to 40" waist, 57" shoulder-to-hem. Bias cut allows for a variety of sizing. A jewel of 1930s lingerie—silk, lace, and embroidery combined in a piece that feels as much like art as it does clothing. DM on Instagram for detailed condition images.
